Terms of Use

Effective date: August 18, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Derle (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, accessing, or using Derle, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Derle is a mobile software-development environment that can create, edit, build, run, import, export, and manage software projects on your device. It can download optional toolchains, connect to services you configure, install user-selected build outputs through Android’s confirmation flow, and provide optional AI-assisted development features.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control for lawful purposes. You may not resell or sublicense the App, bypass access or quota controls, abuse service endpoints, impersonate another installation, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.

3. Your projects and content

You retain your rights in source code, prompts, files, attachments, and other content you provide. You give Derle and the processors needed to provide a requested connected feature a limited license to transmit, process, and return that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the reliability of that feature as described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use and transmit your content. You are responsible for backups, licenses, secrets, personal data, and the legal and security consequences of code you create, download, build, install, or run.

4. AI features

Derle AI and custom AI providers can generate inaccurate, incomplete, insecure, offensive, or non-functional output. AI output is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or security advice. Review changes, inspect commands, test safely, and keep backups before accepting or running generated work.

AI requests may be processed by Cloudflare, OpenRouter, and one or more model providers. Availability, speed, models, context limits, quotas, and data practices can change without notice. Use of a model may also be subject to OpenRouter’s terms and the selected model provider’s terms. Do not use AI features for content or activity prohibited by those terms.

The App may ask before executing shell commands. Approval does not make a command safe. You remain responsible for any command you approve and for its effects on files, services, accounts, devices, and third parties.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Derle or its backend to develop or distribute malware, exploit systems without authorization, evade security controls, steal credentials, harass others, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, generate unlawful content, overload endpoints, automate account or quota abuse, resell shared AI access, or violate applicable law.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate backend access when necessary to prevent abuse, protect users or providers, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

6. Free and paid features

Free and paid plans may have per-minute, daily, monthly, model, token, cost, or service-wide limits. Unused quotas or promotional access have no cash value and may not roll over. Models and limits may change to reflect provider availability, safety, cost, or capacity.

On Android, paid subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play. Prices, taxes, billing periods, trials, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the offer displayed by Google Play and applicable Google Play terms. Cancel through Google Play before renewal to avoid the next charge. Removing the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.

7. Third-party services and software

Toolchains, packages, repositories, websites, AI providers, model providers, advertisements, Google services, SSH hosts, and other integrations are operated by third parties and governed by their terms and licenses. We do not control or guarantee them and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or data practices.

8. Development and device risks

Software development can consume significant battery, CPU, memory, network, and storage resources. Commands or code may loop, corrupt or delete data, expose secrets, introduce vulnerabilities, install unwanted packages, or affect remote systems. Maintain backups, inspect dependencies and commands, and use suitable test environments. You assume the risks of code, packages, commands, and build outputs you choose to run or install.

9. Intellectual property

Derle’s name, design, application code, backend, and original content remain the property of the developer or applicable licensors. Third-party open-source components remain under their respective licenses. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your project to Derle or ownership of Derle to you.

10. Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DERLE AND ITS CONNECTED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT CODE, AI OUTPUT, BUILDS, TOOLCHAINS, MODELS, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WILL WORK OR BE SAFE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, DEVICE DAMAGE, SECURITY INCIDENTS, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR CODE, COMMANDS, AI OUTPUT, PACKAGES, PROJECTS, OR USE OF THE APP. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law and subject to mandatory consumer rights.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the developer harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use, your content, your code or services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

13. Changes and termination

We may update the App, connected features, providers, plans, or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. You may stop using Derle at any time. We may discontinue all or part of the service or suspend access for abuse, security, provider, operational, or legal reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer’s place of residence, without overriding mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rights available in your country.
